UNIT #1 WAS NORTHBOUND ON IR 270 JUST SOUTH OF THE E. MAIN ST EXIT. ACCORDING TO WITNESSES; UNIT #1 WENT OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY ONTO THE SHOULDER AND STRUCK A CRASH CUSHION AT THE START OF A CONSTRUCTION ZONE. DRIVER #1 WAS TRANSPORTED BY MADISON TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPARTMENT MEDIC #181 TO MT. CARMEL EAST MEDICAL CENTER. DRIVER #1 WAS PRONOUNCED DECEASED BY DR. DOZIN AT 6:30PM. ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION DETECTIVES RESPONDED TO PROCESS THE SCENE.
