This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Sunday, November 8th 2020 at approximately 6:15 pm. The driver of white Kia (2018) left of center. Injuries were reported. An officer from Columbus Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit #2 was traveling westbound on Shannon Rd just west of Brice Rd. Unit #1 was traveling eastbound on Shannon Rd approaching Brice Rd; when Unit #1 went left of center striking Unit #2. The Witness at scene stated that they observed Unit #1 begin to go off the road to the right; over correct and go into the oncoming lane of traffic where it stuck Unit #2. Unit #1 then rolled over; coming to a rest on its side on the north side of the roadway in a ditch. The Driver of Unit #1 was taken to Mount Carmel East in stable condition and was treated by Dr. Olson for neck and back pain. The Occupants #1 and #2 were taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital. Occupant #1 was treated for a right broken leg by Dr. Shihabuddin. Occupants #2 was treated for minor bruising by Dr. Shihabuddin. The Driver of Unit #2 was taken to Mount Carmel East and Treated for neck and back pain by Dr. Gentile. The Occupant of Unit #2 was taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital and treated by Dr. Forman for bruising to the neck and chest. Unit #1 and #2 were impounded for safekeeping at the City Impound Lot. The Driver of Unit #1 was issued a citation for Failure to Control.
