UNIT #1 WAS WESTBOUND ON IR 70 JUST EAST OF THE 96.0 MILEPOST. PHYSICAL EVIDENCE AT SCENE INDICATED UNIT #1 WENT OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY; INTO THE GRASS AND STRUCK A RETAINING WALL. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF BRAKING OR EVASIVE ACTIONS TO AVOID THE WALL. DRIVER #1 WAS TRANSPORTED TO DOCTOR'S WEST MEDICAL CENTER BY COLUMBUS FIRE DEPARTMENT MEDIC 890. DR RUKAMP PRONOUNCED DRIVER #1 DECEASED AT 8:30PM. ACCIDENT INVESTIGATORS RESPONDED TO THE SCENE.
