Unit 1 was traveling north on Phillipi Rd at a high rate of speed. As Unit 1 was attempting to turn left onto Westward Ave; he went off the right side of the roadway. Unit 1 went airborne over a creek; hitting the northern bank; then vaulted into the private property parking lot of 711 Distribution Dr; landing on its side. Unit 1 then caught on fire. The driver of Unit 1 was pronounced deceased by Columbus Fire Medic 15 at 1305 hrs.
