Unit 2; a fully loaded tractor trailer; was operating WB on Woodland Ave stopped at the red traffic signal east of E 30th St in lane 1. Unit 1 was operating WB in lane 1 approaching Unit 2. Unit 1 failed to stop behind Unit 2 and veered to the right. The left front of Unit 1 collided with the right rear of the trailer of Unit 2. Unit 1 sustained heavy; disabling damage to the left side and roof. The trailer of Unit 2 sustained minor damage to the right rear. The operator of Unit 1 was transported to MHMC where he succumbed to his injuries.
