This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Sunday, January 10th 2021 at approximately 5:40 pm. The driver of blue Suzuki (2016) unsafe speed. Injuries were reported. An officer from Columbus Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
The driver of unit #2 stated that she was traveling west bound on E. Livingston Ave; proceeding to make a left turn onto southbound Bairsford Drive.The driver of unit #2 then stated the driver of unit #1 struck the passenger's side of unit #2; causing the driver of unit #1 to be ejected from the motorcycle. The witness stated to officers that the driver of unit #1 was traveling at high rate of speeding; and was weaving in and out of traffic driving recklessly. The witness stated to officers that because of the way the driver of unit #1 was driving; unit #2 would not have been able to see where unit #1 was coming from. Officers arrived on scene to render aid to the driver of unit #1; who was found face down in the middle of E Livingston Ave. The driver of Unit #1 was ejected approximately 100 ft from the location of impact. The driver of unit #1 was later transported to Mount Carmel East; by CFD medic 23 in critical condition. The driver of unit #1 was later pronounced deceased at 8:17 pm. CPD AIU responded;and processed the scene. CFD Medics evaluated the driver of unit #2 at scene; not transport. Etlies trucking towing company towed unit #1's to 2700 impound Lot Road;and Maynard towing company towed #2's vehicle to 2700 Impound Lot Road.
