This accident, involving 1 vehicle occurred on Saturday, February 13th 2021 at approximately 1:11 am. The driver of gray Chevrolet (2008) drove off road. Injuries were reported. An officer from Columbus Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit 1 was traveling south bound on N Nelson Rd. Unit 1 went off the roadway on the East side of the street and struck a tree. CFD Medic 13 transported the driver to OSU East in critical condition. CFD Medic 20 pronounced the passenger on scene at 1:34AM. Officers smelled an odor of alcohol emitting from the driver and from the vehicle. Officers saw a open can of Four Loco inside the vehicle. AIU called to investigate. Officers attempted to serve a serach warrant on the dirver but were refused by OSU East medical staff. The vehicle was impounded at CPD impound lot.
