This accident, involving 1 vehicle occurred on Saturday, February 6th 2021 at approximately 5:09 pm. Injuries were reported. An officer from Columbus Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Front seat passenger of unit1 states that unit 1 was traveling eastbound on the Dublin Rd ramp; just west of the merge onto IR 670 E. Passenger stated that driver of unit 1 hit a patch of ice on the roadway and lost control of the vehicle. Passenger stated that the vehicle spun around before striking a concrete barrier on the south side of the roadway. Passeger stated that unit 1 rolled over the barrier; flipped several times down the hill; and landed upside down in the Scioto River. All four passengers were transported to local hospitals where two of the occupants were pronounced deceased. CPD Accident Investigation Unit arrived at the scene for processing.
