This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Saturday, February 27th 2021 at approximately 2:12 am. The driver of black Chevrolet (1991) unsafe speed. Injuries were reported. An officer from TOLEDO Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit one was traveling south on Auburn; reaching Bancroft proceeded to turn left after clearing the intersection. Unit two was traveling west on Bancroft at a high rate of speed. Unit two was unable to avoid striking unit one due to the rate of speed. Unit two struck unit one and proceeded off of unit one and into a utility pole. Unit two suffered life ending injuries sustained during the accident. Unit two was found to be at fault for the accident. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor.
