Per both witnesses unit 01 was traveling at a high rate of speed on 75 North. Unit 01 hit the cement barrier just past the Stickney exit from 75 North. Unit 01 was thrown from the motorcycle. The motorcycle continued down 75 North until final rest. Unit 01 due to the accident had life-ending injuries. Engine 19 arrived on scene and pronounced unit 01 deceased.
