This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Tuesday, April 27th 2021 at approximately 5:26 am. The driver of gray Freightliner (2019) improper lane change. Injuries were reported. The collision occurred at 5:26am.Two Units were both traveling west bound on 670. Unit 2 stated he was going west bound coming from 71 North in the far right lane when he was side swiped by Unit 1. Unit 2 stated the driver of Unit 1 changed lanes abruptly as they were going the same direction. Unit 2 stated he then hit the interior wall of the bridge while Unit 1 also hit the wall then suddenly veered left and came to rest near the opposit bridge wall. Unit 1 was extracted from his vehicle and taken to Grant Medical by Medic 1 in critical condition. Unit 2 sustained no injuries. Both vehicles were transported off scene to 2700 Impound Lot Road. Sgt. Donald Dawson responded to scene. AIU responded to scene to conduct further investigation.
