This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Sunday, February 21st 2021 at approximately 2:19 am. The driver of black Toyota (2020) unsafe speed. Injuries were reported. An officer from Lakewood Police Department was present at the scene and recorded the information contained in this report.
Unit #1 was traveling eastbound on US-6 (Clifton Blvd.) at a high rate of speed without its headlights on. Unit #2 was northbound on Fry Ave. and came to a stop at the stop sign at Clifton Blvd. Unit #2 then proceeded to make a left turn onto Clifton Blvd. and was struck on the left side by unit #1. Two males were ejected from unit #2. One of the males; Mercado; came to rest in front of an apartment building (11866 Clifton Blvd.). The other male; Close; was thrown from the vehicle as it spun around in the street; and he came to rest in the center turn lane.
