This accident, involving 2 vehicles occurred on Saturday, May 1st 2021 at approximately 12:27 am. The driver of black Chevrolet (2005) following too close / acda. Injuries were reported. On May 1; 2021 at approximately 0027 hours; unit number one was traveling southeast on Salem Avenue in the right lane at a excessive rate of speed and when just before Manhattan Avenue collided with the rear of unit number two. Unit number two who was also southeast on Salem Avenue in the right lane then drove over the right curb and struck a metal RTA pole; unit number two then started to rotate clockwise and struck the right side of unit number one. Unit number two then continued to rotate clockwise and struck a second metal RTA pole. Unit number one then continued southeast on Salem Avenue and failed to stop and properly identify themselves.
